Slimming World - Spaghetti Carbonara

Serves 4

Ready in about 20 minutes

Syns - Extra Easy Free


397g dried spaghetti
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
57g quark
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Fry light
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
340g lean ham, diced
large mixed salad to serve.


1. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions. Drain and keep warm. Meanwhile, mix the eggs and the egg yolks together and whisk in the quark until smooth. Season well and set aside.

2. Spray a non-stick frying pan with the Fry light and place over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened. Add the ham and cook for 1-2 minutes

3. Add the spaghetti to the frying pan and mix well. Pour in the egg mixture and stir until the pasta is well coated. Remove from the heat and serve with a large mixed salad on the side

Can you use fromage frais instead of quark?

I suppose you could, but if you do use very low fat fromage frais

I have made carbonara with fat free yoghurt and fromage frais, although imo it's creamiest with quark

Done it and was very dry does anyone know where I have went wrong
